It is about 10;15 am and we’re headed to Bob Gibson’s to pick up our yearly crop of his awesome Sangiovese.

It is a beautiful morning, the traffic is manageable, and we’re in good sprits.

We’re in Don’s truck and its a bit crowded. I’m in the rumble seat at the moment. Cozy.

We see a billboard advertising barrel tasting at Clos du Bois. The caption reads ‘taste it before the bottle does’.

I’m writing this on my Blackberry. It is working okay for the simple stuff.

I forgot my camera. There are so many great photo ops!

We picked up around .75 t of fruit. We met Bob Gibson and John Attaway at the vineyard.

After that we headed to eat - not tacos this time - at Bluebelle’s Cafe.

We’re near where I left my car (Domaine Canerous). From there we’ll head to Loomis to crush. Johnny’s gets the rumble seat on the way back.

We hit Don’s house around 5pm. I stopped to pick up Jimbo.

The Crush went smooth and quick - just over an hour.

It looks like we’ll be picking up Malbec in the next week or two… Stay tuned!
